With a focus on delivering high-quality residential developments from acquisition through stabilization, the company has established a strong reputation for creating value-driven communities and is seeking a Multifamily Real Estate Development Associate to support its continued growth.


Position Overview

The Multifamily Real Estate Development Associate will play a key role in the execution of multifamily development projects throughout the entire development lifecycle. Working closely with senior development leadership, capital partners, consultants, and construction teams, this individual will support site acquisition, underwriting, due diligence, entitlement, design coordination, financing, and project execution. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven real estate professional looking to advance their development career with a growing organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support multifamily development projects from acquisition through construction completion and stabilization
  • Perform financial modeling, underwriting, and investment analysis for prospective development opportunities
  • Assist with site selection, market research, and due diligence activities
  • Coordinate entitlement, zoning, and permitting processes with municipalities and consultants
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and development pro formas throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and third-party consultants to advance project design and execution
  • Assist in securing debt and equity financing by preparing investment memorandums and lender presentations
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and recommend solutions to maintain project objectives
  • Support contract negotiations, consultant management, and vendor procurement activities
  • Prepare project updates, reporting packages, and presentations for senior leadership and investment partners
  • Coordinate project handoffs between acquisitions, development, construction, and asset management teams


Qualifications

  • 3โ€“7+ years of experience in real estate development, acquisitions, investments, asset management, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of multifamily real estate development processes and project execution
  • Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills, including experience with development pro formas
  • Experience evaluating land acquisitions, market feasibility studies, and investment opportunities
  • Knowledge of zoning, entitlements, permitting, and development due diligence processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Excel, Argus, or other real estate financial modeling software preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
