Position Mission

The Production and Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Production, Product Development, and Control Tower operations, ensuring the execution of production plans while meeting established standards for quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and service levels. This role focuses on the effective management of human, material, and operational resources, promoting continuous improvement initiatives and supporting team development to achieve operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning
  • Plan and organize the resources required to execute daily operational plans, implementing controls throughout the process, from flower requests to final product production, while minimizing waste and optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate production schedules and resource allocation to ensure operational goals and customer requirements are met.
Operations Coordination and Execution
  • Coordinate and execute Production, Control Tower, and Product Development activities, ensuring compliance with operational plans across departments and effective management of resources, including products, personnel, equipment, and schedules.
  • Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with operational procedures, product specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording and updating of operational information within company systems.
  • Monitor production schedules, workflow, and order fulfillment to identify potential issues and ensure timely execution.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and monitor department performance indicators (KPIs), identifying deviations and reporting results to management.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead the implementation of process optimization initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead and coordinate supervisors and area leaders, ensuring effective communication across departments, achievement of operational goals, and employee development through coaching and training.
  • Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and operational continuity.
Performance Management and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with established operational KPIs and performance objectives.
  • Promote a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to OSHA standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Supervisor in Operations, Warehouse, or Cooler areas or Proven experience leading teams and managing high-volume operational processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills and basic knowledge of Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, production planning, inventory control, and operational cost management.
  • Experience in the perishable goods industry is preferred.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish. - Required
