Job description

About the Role

PROCON E&C is a growing industrial and commercial construction company supporting multiple projects across the United States. We are hiring a bilingual Business Operations & Compliance Coordinator to help manage the operational and compliance backbone of the company. This role is ideal for a proactive coordinator who can independently follow issues through completion, support insurance and risk administration, and gradually assume selected accounting, compliance, and operational responsibilities from the Business Operations Manager.

PROCON is filling one position and is using two alternate role profiles to reach candidates with different strengths. Candidates only need to apply once and may indicate their preferred track.

The selected candidate will have a defined primary area, but the role is intentionally cross-functional. Strong candidates with experience in insurance, construction operations, accounting support, payroll compliance, or business systems may receive an expanded scope

Key Responsibilities

Insurance, COI & Risk Administration

  • Coordinate corporate insurance renewals and maintain exposure data requested by brokers, carriers, and auditors
  • Track COIs, endorsements, expiration dates, OCIP/CCIP requirements, business licenses, registrations, and other compliance deadlines
  • Support Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Commercial Auto, EPLI, insurance audits, claims, and project closeout documentation
  • Communicate with brokers, adjusters, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve missing or incomplete documentation
  • Escalate coverage, contractual, claim, or compliance issues requiring management review

Accounting, Payroll & Project Reporting Support

  • Collect and validate invoices, receipts, card documentation, approvals, project information, and cost codes
  • Support AP/AR follow-up, account reconciliations, month-end close preparation, and external accountant or audit requests
  • Assist with payroll reconciliation, prevailing-wage documentation, certified payroll records, fringe-benefit support, and LCPtracker tracking
  • Support monthly WIP reporting by collecting and validating project costs, billings, budgets, commitments, change orders, and forecast information
  • Follow up with project teams regarding missing or inconsistent accounting, payroll, certified-payroll, or WIP information
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready financial, payroll, insurance, and compliance records

Business Operations & Employee Support

  • Coordinate employee travel, lodging, rental cars, company vehicles, and field logistics
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding checklists, including employee records, accounts, equipment, cards, vehicles, housing, and benefits coordination
  • Support PTO tracking, policy acknowledgments, vendor onboarding, and general HR administration
  • Serve as a bilingual operations contact for Korean- and English-speaking employees and field teams
  • Maintain operational trackers, renewal calendars, and supporting documentation

Cross-Functional Backup

  • Support ERP data entry, validation, reporting, data cleanup, system testing, and new system implementation
  • Assist with SOP development, process improvement, workflow documentation, and user support
  • Provide backup for basic Microsoft 365 requests, equipment coordination, asset tracking, purchasing, and IT ticket follow-up
  • Provide additional support to accounting, finance, insurance, HR, systems, or field operations during month-end, project mobilization, or employee absences
  • Take ownership of assigned work through completion and communicate status, risks, and required decisions promptly

Qualifications

Required

  • Professional proficiency in both Korean and English
  • 2+ years of experience in business operations, insurance administration, compliance, accounting support, HR administration, or a related field
  • Strong follow-up, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate directly with employees, vendors, brokers, accountants, and project teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and standard business applications
  • High level of discretion when handling employee, financial, insurance, and company information

Preferred

  • Experience with commercial insurance, COIs, Workers’ Compensation, fleet insurance, OCIP/CCIP, claims, or insurance audits
  • Experience in construction, industrial services, field operations, or multi-state employment
  • Experience with AP/AR, expense review, payroll support, certified payroll, or month-end close
  • Experience with Acumatica, QuickBooks, Procore, WorkforceGo, LCPtracker, or similar systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Human Resources, or a related field

Benefits

  • Global Health Insurance
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • E-2 Visa & Green Card Sponsorship (for eligible candidates)
  • Performance-Based Bonuses
  • Career growth opportunities in construction accounting and ERP financial management

Compensation

  • Junior Level: $58,000 – $70,000 per year
  • Senior Level: To be discussed
(Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.)
