Position Description
The Manufacturing Operations Associate plays an important role in supporting Applied Medical’s production and operational functions by gaining handson experience across multiple manufacturing areas. Through a combination of onthejob training, structured learning, and crossfunctional collaboration, this position contributes to efficient production planning, material management, and continuous improvement efforts. The Manufacturing Operations Associate helps strengthen operational excellence by building foundational technical skills, supporting key manufacturing processes, and preparing for future leadership opportunities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in handson learning across multiple manufacturing plants by shadowing various production roles to gain a strong understanding of Applied Medical’s operational workflows.
  • Complete onthejob training, structured workshops, and guided learning modules to build foundational operational knowledge and technical skills.
  • Learn and apply SAP management systems (ERP/MRP) to support tasks such as material planning, shop floor control, and production tracking.
  • Assist with manufacturing cost analyses, production scheduling, capacity planning, and material requirements planning to support operational decisionmaking.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to crossfunctional projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operations.
  • Develop capacity plans for current and future resource needs by analyzing production data and collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Train and shadow in the responsibilities of a Production Team Leader to prepare for potential advancement into leadership roles.

  • Developing a strong understanding of manufacturing operations by actively engaging in crossfunctional training, shadowing, and handson learning.
  • Applying SAP, production planning concepts, and manufacturing workflows accurately and confidently to support daily operational needs.
  • Contributing meaningful insights to process improvement initiatives and demonstrating initiative in identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements.
  • Effectively supporting capacity planning, scheduling, and cost analysis tasks with attention to detail and growing independence.
  • Building strong working relationships with team members, production leaders, and crossfunctional partners through clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrating readiness for increased responsibility by understanding the fundamentals of team leadership and operational decisionmaking.
  • Aligning daily work with Applied Medical’s commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the production of highquality medical devices.
