Dental Laboratory Manager | Senior Denture & Implant Technician Lead a High-Performing Dental Laboratory Team

We are seeking an experienced Dental Laboratory Manager to provide both hands-on technical expertise and supervisory leadership within our practice laboratory. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Dental Lab Technician, Senior Denture Technician, or Dental Laboratory Manager with extensive experience in complete dentures, removable prosthetics, implant restorations, and advanced dental laboratory techniques.

The Dental Laboratory Manager will oversee the technical training and professional development of laboratory technicians, support the implementation of new dental laboratory products and technologies, and help maintain high standards for quality, efficiency, and patient care.

This role requires strong technical judgment, leadership ability, and collaboration with clinical and laboratory leadership. The Manager will work closely with the Chief Clinical Officer, Regional Manager of Laboratory Excellence, ACI management, and the ACI Laboratory Network to support patient-specific treatment needs and laboratory excellence.

Job Summary

The Dental Laboratory Manager is responsible for both technical and supervisory functions within the dental laboratory. The Manager will remain actively involved in hands-on denture and implant-related restorative work while leading, training, and developing laboratory technicians.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing daily technical and laboratory operations.
  • Providing on-site technical training and development.
  • Mentoring and cross-training laboratory technicians.
  • Implementing new products, technologies, and laboratory techniques.
  • Maintaining quality, accuracy, productivity, and turnaround-time standards.
  • Supporting complex denture, removable prosthetic, and implant restorative cases.
  • Collaborating with clinical leadership on patient-specific laboratory solutions.
  • Participating in the ACI Laboratory Network and communicating with regional laboratory leadership.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities Advanced Dental Laboratory & Denture Fabrication
  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of complete denture fabrication.
  • Set denture teeth and perform detailed denture wax-ups.
  • Perform festooning and carving of denture teeth to achieve appropriate anatomy and esthetics.
  • Perform rough and fine finishing of dental prosthetics.
  • Complete denture repairs and other removable prosthetic procedures.
  • Pour and trim denture models.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with complete dentures, overdentures, and implant-based restorative techniques.
  • Fabricate and support full-arch hybrid restorations.
  • Apply strong knowledge of dental science, anatomy, occlusion, and esthetics to laboratory cases.
  • Maintain exceptional standards for technical quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.
Laboratory Leadership & Training
  • Provide on-site technical training, coaching, and development for laboratory technicians.
  • Evaluate technical skills and identify opportunities for training and professional development.
  • Cross-train laboratory team members in all areas of the dental laboratory.
  • Establish and reinforce laboratory quality and production standards.
  • Support the implementation of new dental laboratory products, technologies, and techniques.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead by example with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence.
Clinical & Organizational Collaboration
  • Communicate regularly with the Regional Manager of Laboratory Excellence and other relevant ACI leadership.
  • Take an active role within the ACI Laboratory Network.
  • Consult with the Chief Clinical Officer and practice team regarding individual patient cases.
  • Exercise a high degree of professional judgment when determining appropriate laboratory solutions based on patient-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to support high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Follow established OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on dental laboratory technical experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical supervisory or management capacity.
  • Significant professional experience fabricating dentures from start to finish.
  • Expert knowledge of complete denture fabrication and removable prosthetics.
  • Demonstrated leadership, training, or supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental laboratory environment.
  • Strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during normal laboratory and practice business hours.
Preferred Experience
  • Denture and implant experience preferred, but implant experience is not required.
  • Same-day denture experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with full-arch hybrid restorations.
  • Experience with overdentures and implant-based restorative techniques.
  • Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology.
  • Experience implementing new dental laboratory products, technologies, or processes.
