Job description

Ontario County's Economic Development Department is looking for qualified applicants to fill a full-time position of Manager of Economic Development.

Starting 2026 Salary: $112,941/yr

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other directly related field specifically structured to prepare individuals for work involving accounting (such degrees must include or be supplemented by 18 semester credit hours in accounting) and five (5) years of full-time paid work experience, or its part-time equivalent, of finance managerial experience in governmental accounting, two (2) years of which must have been in a full supervisory or managerial capacity.

SUBSTITUTION - EXPERIENCE
  • Additional education as specified above beyond a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration may be substituted on the basis of thirty (30) credit hours being equal to one (1) year of experience up to a maximum of two (2) years total.
  • Possession of a CPA, CMA, MBA or MPA Degree can be substituted for one (1) year of the required five years' experience.
