Job Title: Director of Business Development (Full-Time)

About the Role: We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Director of Business Development to join our team in the Tampa/Orlando Area. This is a full-time outside sales position focused on growing business within the Tampa/Orlando Area and surrounding regions. Target markets include Corporate Office (multi-tenant), Industrial/Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Education (K-12 through University).
Core Responsibilities
• Ability to drive and commute throughout the entire territory
o 3-4 days in the field meeting with clients
o 1-2 days research, follow up and admin duties
• Drive new business through prospecting, qualifying, and closing long-cycle sales with C-level decision-makers
o Ability to create proposals and presentations
• Collaborate with operations to align contract terms and customer expectations
o Meet with operations weekly at the local office- discuss upcoming opportunities, renewal and event collaboration
• Attend in person industry events, trade shows (ability to set up and take down booth), and networking functions to increase brand awareness and lead generation
o Minimum of 3 Association meeting per month
§ Monthly meetings, committee meetings, trade shows and golf tournaments
o 2 Referral Partner meetings- ex: coffee, breakfast or lunch meetings
• Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to support sales goals
o In the field- face to face throughout the entire territory
§ Minimum of 8 New Prospect meeting per month
§ Follow up meetings
§ Building walks- ability to walk entire building and take stairs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sales activity and metrics
• Foster a professional, ethical image of the company in the market
What We're Looking For - Must Haves
• 3+ years of direct B2B sales experience
• Experience with complex solution sales and long sales cycles
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and operate under accountability
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal
• Skilled in overcoming objections and building trust-based client relationships
• Self-motivated, goal-driven, and results-oriented
• Comfortable with cold calling and territory management
• Tech proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organization and time management
• High integrity, responsibility, and adaptability
Preferred Qualifications
• Success in prospecting and qualifying leads
• Effective networking and referral-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities
• CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
