Job Duties:
Marketing & Development Coordinator will develop, direct, coordinate, and execute strategic marketing plans for Green Bay Athletics with a strong emphasis on men's and women's basketball. This will be a key position for generating overall excitement in Northeast Wisconsin and beyond for Green Bay Athletics and assist with development functions within the department.
The Coordinator will assist the Senior Associate AD for External Operations and coaches to create and implement an exciting promotional schedule to increase attendance and revenue at/from Phoenix sporting events and entertain fans at games and provide them with an all-around positive customer experience to encourage retention and future revenue generation.
This position will assist the Assistant AD for Development with the annual phoenix fund drive including coordination of mailings, stewardship and donor communication. The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with Phoenix Fund special events including the Steak Fry, golf outings and Giving Day. Coordinating alumni and donor lists and working with coaches on cadence of communication will be an important part of this position.
Graphic design will be a key part of this position, as high-quality graphics will be needed for game day, marketing of events, donor and alumni communication and use on social media and many other marketing/development avenues.
This position will be the main liaison between Green Bay Athletics and the UWGB student body, finding new and exciting ways to push student engagement at athletics events. This position will also supervise and manage a group of student interns on game day and in the office.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop, plan and execute strategic marketing plans for sports, with a major emphasis on basketball. Work with admin and teams to develop a strong and entertaining game day script, music, technology, lights and production of events that will ensure repeat customers and attract new revenue generating opportunities through group outreach and sponsorship. Graphic design and sponsor activation are essential to the success of this position. Assist with Team Store ordering.
  • Assist with all operations of development including the fall phoenix fund drive. Work closely with Assistant AD and coaches on communication throughout the year and donor stewardship. Assist with planning, logistics, and production of all fundraising events, including the Steak Fry, Giving Day, and Golf Outings. This position will also help assist with the invoicing process, updating alumni/donor lists and Phoenix Fund benefits activation.
  • Primary liaison between Green Bay Athletics and the UWGB student body, finding new and exciting ways to push student engagement at athletics events. Manage student workers and interns for games and events. Assist with ticket office as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree at time of application
  • 2+ years experience working in intercollegiate athletics or similar industry in marketing, communications, sales or development.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license upon employment.
  • Experience with game presentation, including producing and executing game day scripts.
  • Experience with customer and donor relations
  • Experience with adobe InDesign suite and Photoshop.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in solicitation and relationship building.
  • Experience working with ticketing software
  • Master's degree in related field

Conditions of Appointment:
Some travel is required for necessary meetings, workshops, conferences, etc. Evening and/or weekend work is expected and will be assigned by supervisor as needed.
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel to or work at the Marinette, Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs.
Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. A pre-employment education check which includes, but is not limited to, the verification of academic credentials will be conducted on the finalist(s).
