Associate Teacher - Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)
 
Qualifications:
















  • Must have one of the following:
    • Associate's Degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or the equivalent; OR
    • Valid classroom Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; OR
    • An existing 120 Hour approval.
  • Must meet all requirements established by the Michigan Department of Human Services.
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check with MSP, a background check with LARA, and pass a TB Test.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentational skills.
  • Ability to cooperate successfully as a member of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:











  • Assist in instructing and supervising children in classroom activities.
  • Assist teacher in incorporating required activities into lesson plans that support children's development.
  • Help teacher prepare activities that support lesson plans.
  • Maintain open communication with parents.
  • Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development activities such as training, workshops, and classes to meet required qualifications.
  • Model positive behavior.
  • Perform all other related duties and documentation requirements as assigned.
