You will be the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager for the manufacturing engineering team. Our team is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of factory production equipment and manufacturing processes.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, supervising manufacturing engineers, and ensuring compliance with company and government regulations.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversight of the design, development, and implementation of factory production equipment and manufacturing processes

  • Supervision of manufacturing engineers, including employee recruitment, selection, and training

  • Performance assessment and assignment of engineering tasks

  • Ensuring compliance with company command media, engineering requirements, and government regulations

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical or relevant discipline and 6 years of manufacturing experience or 5 years of manufacturing experience with a master's degree.
Experience leading a team effort in manufacturing assembly, integration, and/or test operations within a production environment.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
Must possess and demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership competencies including (1) delivering results, (2) shaping the future, (3) build effective relationship, (4) energizing the team, and (5) model personal excellence, integrity, and accountability.
Advanced education with manufacturing experience in ordnance assembly, integration, and test operations.
Experience working with multi-functional teams including members from Quality Assurance, ESH & Ordnance Safety, Facilities Engineering, Production Control & Transportation, Project Engineering & Management and U.S. Government Customer Representatives.
LM Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification.
Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LM-MFC) production data systems (Winchill MPM-Link, Apriso, SAP), (LM MFC) test equipment and tooling hardware and document control.
Experience with design, fabrication, installation, initial calibration, prove-out and maintenance of special tools and equipment, continuous yield improvement activities, root cause and corrective action analysis, cost reduction (affordability) and post-production depot operation activities.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
