Job description

As a Business Development Associate, you will be working alongside experienced Business Development professionals and Technical Directors. You will be supporting the sales cycle from proposal development, engagement execution and building client relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the sales process by preparing customized proposals, executive presentations, value propositions, pricing summaries, Statements of Work (SOWs), and other client-facing materials utilizing PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and internal presentation templates
  • Prepare pipeline reports, sales activity summaries, and opportunity updates for leadership to support forecasting and strategic planning
  • Support new client activities, follow-up activities, and tracking opportunities through each stage of the sales process.
  • Accurately maintain and take ownership of all prospect and client records, activities, communications, meeting notes, and opportunity stages within Salesforce CRM to ensure data integrity, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline visibility.
  • Track proposal status, contract progression, and client communications while ensuring deadlines and commitments are met.
  • Research prospective clients, industries, and market trends to help develop tailored business solutions and identify opportunities across alliant's six service lines.
  • Participate in client discovery meetings to understand business objectives, operational challenges, and growth initiatives while documenting key findings and coordinating appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate sales meetings, discovery sessions, executive presentations, and follow-up activities while ensuring all action items are completed on schedule.
  • Partner with marketing to leverage campaigns, events, webinars, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives to generate prospect engagement and support pipeline growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in business development, sales support, account management, marketing, or another client-facing role.
  • Strong desire to build a long-term career in enterprise business development and consultative sales.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, business owners, and professional advisors.
  • Highly competitive, self-motivated, and driven by achieving organizational goals.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, growth-focused environment.
  • High sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.
