About the Role:

The Specialist, Development Technology improves Subway's U.S. Development team's technology platforms to allow

the team to use those tools to their benefit to track pipeline, manage contracts, franchisee relationship and drive main

initiatives in Development. administering the systems that track new restaurants, remodels, closures, sites and

franchisee health and supporting the people who rely on them daily. This role is critical now as Development leans

harder on data and systems to move faster and needs someone who can keep the tools themselves from becoming the

bottleneck.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Systems, Real Estate, Operations, or related field. 
  • Development Systems & Tools Administration  Administer and maintain the U.S. Development team's technology platforms (pipeline tracking system, document management platform, dashboard/BI tools), managing RFPs, user access, data integrity, and system configuration.
  • Pipeline Tracker & Reporting Manage the U.S. development pipeline data and streamline reports to support dashboards on development KPIs (openings, pipeline health, budget variance) for Development leadership. 
  • Systems Support & Training Serve as the first point of contact for Development team members' system issues, troubleshoot data and access problems, and train new users on Development technology tools 
  • Waiver & Site-Approval Workflow Support Support waiver reviews and site-approval workflows within Development systems, routing requests to the right stakeholders on time. 
  • Document & Data Management Manage document uploads and data entry across Development systems (e.g., site packages, approval documentation), ensuring accuracy and audit-readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Systems, Real Estate, Operations, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience with prior exposure to data/systems administration or reporting tools preferred
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; comfortable working in pipeline tracking, dashboard, or document
    management systems.
  • Ability to multitask and manage live systems and trackers under deadline pressure.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; able to support and train non-technical users on system tools.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting data or access issues and escalating appropriately.
  • Interest in QSR, franchise, or restaurant development preferred.
  • Willingness to travel under 10%.
