Position Summary

The Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting the organization''s growth initiatives through opportunity identification, proposal development, market research, sales support, and marketing activities. This role works closely with leadership, business development personnel, and subject matter experts to identify new business opportunities, develop compelling proposals, maintain marketing materials, and support strategic growth efforts across federal, state, local government, and commercial markets.

The Business Development Associate plays a key role in expanding the company''s market presence, strengthening client relationships, and supporting revenue growth through business development and proposal management activities.

Core Responsibilities

Ø  Business Development & Opportunity Management

o   Identify, research, and track new business opportunities through government procurement portals, industry databases, networking events, and market intelligence sources.

o   Monitor federal, state, local, and commercial contract opportunities and assist with opportunity qualification and pipeline management.

o   Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential growth opportunities, industry trends, and strategic partnerships.

o   Support outreach efforts with prospective clients, teaming partners, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders.

o   Coordinate and participate in meetings related to business opportunities, capture activities, and partnership discussions.

o   Assist with developing and maintaining strategic partner relationships to support growth initiatives.

o   Maintain business development tracking tools, opportunity pipelines, and reporting dashboards.

Ø  Proposal Development & Capture Support

o   Support the preparation, coordination, and submission of proposals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought notices, and other business development responses.

o   Coordinate proposal activities and timelines to ensure timely and compliant submissions.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to gather technical, management, staffing, and past performance content

o   Prepare compliance matrices, proposal checklists, and required submission documentation.

o   Maintain and update proposal templates, boilerplate content, resumes, past performance references, capability statements, and proposal repositories.

o   Review solicitation requirements and assist in ensuring proposal compliance with customer instructions and evaluation criteria.

o   Support proposal editing, formatting, quality reviews, and final production activities.

o   Maintain a repository of past performance information, corporate experience, and proposal assets for future business opportunities.

Ø  Sales & Marketing Support

o   Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing materials, capability statements, presentations, brochures, and company profiles.
