Our Sales team is seeking an Account Development Representative who will support, maintain, and develop customer accounts. This role will serve as both an Account Manager and Account Assistant for a book of multiple spot focused accounts and will manage the day-to-day responsibilities required to support this book. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with multiple customers!

    PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

    • Develop and implement strategies with Account Teams and Sales Leadership to maximize and strengthen relationships with all customers with the goal being individual account growth
    • Assist in Developing customer SOP’s
    • Assist in escalated situations with customers and aid in providing solutions
    • Communicate potential issues and concerns with the operations team
    • Effectively communicate team needs to leadership
    • Professional communication both internally and externally
    • Understand the urgency and risk of each individual account
    • Set expectations internally for all personnel involved with accounts
    • Willingness to coach and take ownership of all assigned accounts
    • Assist in after-hours coverage where needed
    • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Have knowledge of all modes of transportation
    • Understands upsell opportunities and has the skill set to acquire new buisness
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest market trends within the industry


    DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Professional, timely and efficient communication with operations (i.e. Proactive update requests, collecting paperwork, monitor tracking updates)
    • Professional, timely and efficient communication with customers (i.e. Providing updates to delays upon request, proactive updates, quoting)
    • Bid on ALL spot market opportunities that fit Ally’s capabilities
    • Utilize leadership for all questions and concerns regarding an account
    • Ensure loads are being built and scheduled in a timely manner
    • Close loads out in a timely manner
    • Respond to billing needs (POD, lumper, etc)
    • Create Customer SOPs for ALL accounts
    • Set up customer calls and check-ins
    • Determine the best equipment type (i.e. Could this be partial?)


    COMPENSATION:

    This position will earn a $50K base salary + additional commissions + access to monthly bonuses.
