Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Safety team. In this position you will be responsible for providing certain safety and driver's education training to all employees. Also, supporting various safety initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide full administrative support to the Corporate Safety Team, including correspondence, meeting scheduling, minutes, reporting, and special projects.
  • Prepare and maintain safety presentations, training materials, reports, and graphics for meetings, training sessions, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate and support safety training programs, including orientations, basic safety training, fit testing, leading indicator programs, and training database upkeep.
  • Assist with setup, facilitation, and delivery of in-house and multi-divisional training sessions as directed.
  • Maintain and update safety databases and records, including OSHA violations, disciplinary actions, training records, and digital files.
  • Distribute safety communications, accident trackers, and safety resources to field teams and stakeholders.
  • Support development and communication of customer- and project-specific safety rules.
  • Coordinate logistics for safety staff, including travel arrangements, events, and technology support (computers, tablets, phones).
  • Organize, maintain, and digitize safety, training, customer, and project files across divisions.
  • Update online resources and assist with internal website content maintenance.
  • Perform other administrative and safety-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 2 years' minimum experience with Data Entry
  • Position requires candidate to type 60+ wpm with excellent computer skills
  • Candidate must possess analytical aptitude, effective oral and written communication skills
  • Candidate must be accurate; attention to detail and excellent organizational skills a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Organized and a self-starter
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
