Job description

Muller Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Team. In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of transportation projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region while working alongside a collaborative and creative group of engineers and professionals. We're looking for a motivated individual who brings strong technical expertise, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is excited to help deliver high-quality transportation solutions.

Muller Engineering is headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado, where team members collaborate through a hybrid work schedule. We also welcome applicants from across the continental United States who are willing to relocate to Colorado. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Design transportation facilities, including interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and multimodal facilities.

Prepare studies, reports, plans, and construction packages for a wide variety of transportation projects. Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and subconsultant coordination. Coordinate and work with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects.

Take ownership of projects from start to finish. Lead design for multidisciplinary projects. Perform field observation work when necessary.

Other duties as assigned.Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university, masters degree is a plus. 4-6 years of experience in the design of transportation facilities. Knowledge and experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering

Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products Experience with Colorado DOT (or other state DOT) plan preparation procedures and standards Excellent written and oral communication skills Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills A desire to grow personally and professionally while working in a team environment to create designs supporting our clients' overall project goals Hydraulics and/or traffic experience is a plus Required License or Certification: Active Colorado Professional Engineer license or ability to transfer a license from another state within 6 months of employment.
