Staff Product Marketing Manager: Compute
We're looking for a Staff Product Marketing Manager: Compute to drive go-to-market execution, positioning, and partner with sales enablement for Fastly Compute, our serverless edge platform. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you will turn product capabilities into customer value, equipping sales teams and growth campaigns with the messaging, proof points, and narratives needed to drive developer and enterprise adoption.
Compute moves Fastly beyond CDN into a true edge cloud platform, and it targets a distinctly developer forward audience. You will evangelize edge compute use cases such as personalization, A/B testing, auth at the edge, and geo routing, and position Fastly Compute against alternatives in the market. This role works closely with the Technical Product Marketing (TPM) team, part of Portfolio Intelligence, to create developer centric content, and with Developer Relations to bridge marketing and community.
What You'll Do:
  • Positioning & External Messaging: Develop compelling, market facing positioning and messaging for Fastly Compute that resonates with developers, platform leads, and IT executives.
  • GTM Execution & Readiness: Drive end to end product launches, ensuring operational GTM readiness across sales, customer success, marketing, and channel partners.
  • Sales Enablement & Asset Creation: Partner with sales enablement to build high impact seller assets, customer decks, competitive battlecards, and ROI tools to activate revenue teams.
  • Competitive Awareness: Partner with Portfolio Intelligence to apply competitive intelligence and evangelize core edge compute use cases (personalization, A/B testing, auth at the edge, geo routing, and more).
  • Customer Content Creation: Craft compelling customer facing content, including whitepapers and webinars, that moves prospects along the buyer journey.
  • Developer Content & Community: Partner with the TPM team to create developer centric content, and work closely with Developer Relations to bridge marketing and community efforts.
  • Partner & Channel Collaboration: Collaborate with the Partner team to support messaging and content for edge ecosystem partner initiatives.
  • Buyer Insights & Campaign Integration: Connect buyer pain points and technical use cases with demand gen campaigns, events, and lifecycle marketing programs.
  • Analyst & Community Engagement: Support Analyst Relations and thought leadership campaigns through storytelling, customer proof points, and market messaging.
  • Executive & Company Visibility: Represent Fastly Compute in company QBRs and other strategic cross-functional efforts.
  • Product Evangelism: Deliver presentations to the public on Fastly's unique and differentiated security story.

What We're Looking For:
  • 8+ years of professional experience, with 3 years in Product Marketing focused on Serverless, Edge Compute, Cloud Infrastructure, or Developer Platforms.
  • 3 years working in DevRel, developer marketing, or technical advocacy
  • Proven experience executing successful GTM launches and crafting field ready enablement materials.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to distill developer centric features into clear business impact.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.

We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
  • Direct experience marketing serverless architectures, WebAssembly (Wasm), or cloud developer tools.

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.
Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements:
The preferred locations for this position are:
  • Denver, CO (strongly preferred)
  • San Francisco, CA
  • New York, NY

There is a strong preference for Hybrid near a local office. However, we may be willing to consider remote candidates within the US.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
