Description Of Services:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Edge Full Stack Developer to design, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial edge computing environments across lab and production systems. This role combines hands-on systems expertise with networking, DevOps, and application development skills to support reliable industrial operations at scale.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, comfortable working close to hardware, and capable of diagnosing issues from BIOS and operating system layers through networking, infrastructure, and application deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration & Industrial Edge Operations:

Configure, deploy, and maintain industrial edge devices, servers, and workstation environments.

Perform hardware-level troubleshooting including BIOS/UEFI configuration, boot management, firmware updates, and peripheral integration.

Install, configure, and optimize Linux and/or Windows operating systems for industrial applications.

Support lab, staging, and production system setups including rack installations, imaging, provisioning, and system validation.

Troubleshoot system performance, startup failures, hardware compatibility, storage, drivers, and OS-level issues.

Manage user permissions, system security, patching, backups, and recovery processes.

Work directly with engineering and operations teams to ensure production uptime and reliability.

Document setup procedures, troubleshooting workflows, and deployment standards.

Networking:

Configure and troubleshoot industrial and enterprise networking environments.

Support VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

Diagnose connectivity issues between edge devices, cloud platforms, and production systems.

Understand industrial communication protocols and network segmentation concepts.

Assist with secure remote access and site connectivity solutions.

DevOps & Infrastructure Automation (Third Priority)

Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

Work with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Maintain infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation scripts.

Monitor infrastructure health, logs, metrics, and system alerts.

Collaborate with software teams to streamline deployments and production releases.

Full Stack Development:

Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, dashboards, and operational tooling.

Build interfaces and utilities supporting industrial edge monitoring and management.

Integrate edge systems with cloud and enterprise platforms.

Participate in architecture, testing, and deployment planning.

Required Qualifications

Core Technical Skills:

Strong Systems Administration experience (Linux preferred; Windows experience beneficial)

Deep understanding of operating systems, boot processes, BIOS/UEFI settings, drivers, and hardware troubleshooting

Experience setting up and supporting both lab and production environments

Hands-on troubleshooting mindset with ability to diagnose issues across hardware, OS, network, and application layers

Experience with server hardware, edge devices, storage systems, and industrial PCs

Networking Skills:

Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals

Experience configuring switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs

Ability to troubleshoot network latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues

DevOps Skills:

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools

Experience with Git-based workflows and deployment tooling

Understanding of monitoring, logging, and infrastructure management

Development Skills:

Experience with backend and frontend development technologies

Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)

Experience building APIs and operational tooling

Nice-to-Have:

Located near Lexington, KY or ability to travel to Lexington, KY regularly

Exposure to industrial automation systems or OT environments

Knowledge of IoT/Edge computing architectures

Familiarity with industrial protocols and edge telemetry systems

Experience working in manufacturing or production operations environments

Deliverables:
