Job description

JQOL is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer. We are actively looking for a great candidate to join our growing company. The successful candidate will work with a team to ensure projects are designed in accordance with current manuals and specifications, as well as following accepted industry practices and procedures.

The chosen applicant will be integrally involved in project management, client relations, and staff allocation. As well as plan development and detailed calculations as needed. We need our team members to be versatile, enthusiastic, and have a highly team-oriented mindset.

The position is open to recent Professional Engineers with 4 to 6 years or relevant experience in either the Indianapolis area or Louisville area. Responsibilities

  • Work will include but not be limited to financial performance of projects, staff oversight and direction, CAD design, plan details, technical specifications, estimating, quantity calculations, technical reports, permitting, shop drawing review, and engineering analyses.
  • The chosen applicant will work closely with the JQOL design team as well as other design partners and clients as needed.
  • The successful candidate will gain great experience in civil engineering in Indiana and throughout the Midwest.

Candidate Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in civil engineering with 4-6 years related work experience is preferred
  • Professional Engineer in Indiana or Kentucky is required
  • Experience with site design is required
  • Familiarity with and a desire to continue to learn AutoCAD / Civil 3D
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
