Job Status: Full Time, Exempt � This position is a �Contingent Hire� position contingent upon a potential award of a new U.S. Navy contract to QED Systems.
Job Salary Range: $79,204/year - $114,053/year
Job Description: Individual will serve as a Q.E.D. Systems Branch Manager for a U.S. Navy Planning Yard Electrical/Electronic design department involved in ship modernization requirements, including Ship Change Documentation Support (SCD), Engineering Analysis, Design Ship Checks, Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), and Liaison Action Requests (LARs). The Q.E.D. Systems Naval Electrical/Electronic Systems Branch Manager will be responsible for managing engineering and design personnel and controlling project costs, quality, schedules, and project manning requirements and will report to the Q.E.D. Systems Naval Engineering Manager.
Job Requirements/skill sets: Must have a minimum of 10-years of experience in ship engineering, design, ship advance planning, and ship modernization; and at least 3-years of management experience serving as an Engineering/Project Manager, and/or a Deputy PM; managing Navy service type contracts/major DoD programs. Working knowledge of NMP-MOM, Navy Ship Planning organization and processes; and a general knowledge of Government contracting are desired. Experience should include management and/or supervisory roles at Supervisor or Shipbuilding, Repair, and Conversion commands, Regional Maintenance Centers, U.S. Navy Central Planning Activity, U.S. Navy Planning Yard Activity, Planning for Engineering and Repair Activity, and/or public and/or private shipyards. Experience supporting LCS class ships and Surface Combatants is highly desired.
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science, Engineering or Naval Architecture.
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and be able to access U.S. Navy ships, military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
