Cass County, North Dakota, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our law enforcement team as full-time Detention Officers. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in a meaningful career with opportunities for advancement in law enforcement.
GREAT PAY
This position offers a starting annual salary of $55,261/year, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, with a paycheck once every month.

YOUR NEW ROLE AS A DETENTION OFFICER
Detention Officers work 12-hour shifts for 12 to 14 days per month. The schedule provides every other weekend as a three-day break, allowing for a balanced combination of work and time off.
As a Detention Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and order of the detention facility. Your responsibilities will include monitoring inmate activities, conducting well-being checks, and overseeing various programs and activities for inmates. You will assist with booking and court processing, and rotate through assignments in areas such as booking, maximum security, and primary housing units. When necessary, you will participate in the Correctional Emergency Response Team, responding to high-risk situations and supporting your colleagues. Through daily interaction with staff and inmates, you will develop valuable skills and contribute to the overall safety and welfare of the community.
