Dessert chefs, also known as pastry chefs, are culinary professionals who specialize in creating desserts and baked goods. Their responsibilities include designing, preparing, and presenting a variety of sweet dishes such as cakes, pastries, chocolates, and other confections. They often work in restaurants, bakeries, hotels, or specialty dessert shops, and may also be involved in menu development and ingredient sourcing.
