DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Department: GENERAL
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: BOSTON, MA
Reporting To: IT MANAGER
Compensation: $55,000 / year
Description
We are seeking a motivated Desktop Support Technician to work full-time in-house, supporting the IT Manager and the needs of our six office locations. This position will provide technical support to users by troubleshooting and resolving issues for software and hardware while contributing to the overall success of Ci Design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshooting problems and responding to users' inquiries
  • Managing tickets (creating, updating, and tracking them through their life cycle)
  • Password resets
  • Software installation of basic software applications on users' devices
  • Hardware troubleshooting, including resolving faulty peripherals, monitor issues, and connectivity problems
  • Overseeing IT service desk operations, ensuring performance management, and providing exceptional customer support
  • Participate in IT projects such as hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, and rollout of new applications or tools
  • Ability to lift 50 IBs

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
  • Some IT Help Desk Support experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a patient, service-oriented approach
  • Attention to detail in recording ticketing system information and following procedures
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
  • Relevant training or experience required.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends if necessary or required
