IT Support I

SUMMARY:

Under close supervision the IT Help Desk I provide the field with what they need to safeguard the integrity and security of Motion's IT infrastructure and environment. They run the primary point for the enterprise and are charged with triaging, troubleshooting, documenting, communicating, escalating, advocating for, and resolving a wide range of IT issues.

JOB DUTIES

  • Develops knowledge of technical support solutions and learns to identify more unusual problems with desktop, laptop, and networked systems.
  • Fields IT Support calls and tickets.
  • Provides IT Support and Onboarding related tasks and projects.
  • Research, documents, and troubleshoots advanced issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a bachelor's degree and zero (0) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to operate as a primary contact for a wide range of IT support issues.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges, identify and evaluate potential impact and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ability to digest, understand and apply new technical information and concepts quickly.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across multiple mediums with endpoints possessing a wide range of technical understanding to organize efforts to resolve issues.
  • Experience with Cisco and Fortinet network gear and operations, NetBox, PRTG, PutTy, CUCX, CUCCX, RDP, VOIP, ServiceNow, Asset Management, ISE, iBoss, Active Directory, AnyConnect, PsExec, PowerShell, SharePoint, Printer Admin, Access, Excel, SCCM, iOS, Android and MDM a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Developed customer service skills.
  • Intermediate technical skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Understands potential to be required to be on-call on nights or weekends or work weekends and night shifts.
