Job description

Role: Desktop Support Technician

Expected Duration: 11 months

Location: Onsite, candidates must be local to the Austin area

Summary:

The Client has issued a request for a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on desktop support, executive support, hardware and software troubleshooting, local technical leadership, and day-to-day end-user assistance. The role is centered on PC installation and repair, Office 365 and Teams support, video conferencing support, process creation, project participation, and mentoring junior technicians in an on-site environment. An ideal candidate has strong enterprise desktop support experience, is comfortable providing white-glove executive support, knows how to troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, and collaboration tools quickly, and can lead locally while working across a multi-vendor support environment.

Responsibilities:

The worker will have an excellent understanding of computers (both hardware and software) and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology. Performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of personal computers (PC) and related systems. Troubleshoots and resolves software and hardware failures. Identifies network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers. Provides technical support, training, process creation and leading various project efforts, and is an exceptional local leader and mentor to junior Technicians

Minimum (Required):

5 Years of Experience providing end-user support

5 Years of Experience in supporting personal computer hardware and routine software installation

5 Years of Experience troubleshooting IT hardware and peripherals in an enterprise environment

5 Years of Experience supporting Microsoft Productivity tools such as Office 365 and MS Teams

4 Years of Experience providing “white-glove” executive level support

4 Years of Experience supporting video tele-conferencing solutions such as Cisco Webex

Preferred (Optional):

5 Years of Experience creating technical knowledge articles

5 Years of Working in a multi-vendor environment for support environment

4 Years of Experience utilizing ServiceNow in a support environment
