Desktop Support Analyst  Labor Category: Computer Network Support Specialist โ€“ Journeyman
Location: Government Site (On-Site)  Clearance Requirements: Secret or above. Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 Position Summary MKS2 Technologies is seeking experienced Deskside Support/Desktop Support Analysts to provide enterprise-level technical support across geographically dispersed government environments. The selected candidates will support end users through the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of desktop systems, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and enterprise endpoint infrastructure. This position supports Enterprise Endpoint Infrastructure Management (EEIM) initiatives and provides Tier II/Tier III technical support to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations. The Deskside Support Analyst will work closely with systems administrators, network engineers, cybersecurity teams, and end users to resolve technical issues, maintain endpoint compliance, and support enterprise service delivery objectives. Key Responsibilities
Provide deskside and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, image, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Windows operating systems and enterprise endpoint devices.
Support software deployment, application installation, upgrades, updates, and patch management activities.
Monitor endpoint health and compliance using enterprise management and monitoring tools.
Perform root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting for complex desktop and endpoint issues.
Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and Internet connectivity issues.
Support device lifecycle management activities, including inventory control, refresh efforts, provisioning, and equipment disposal.
Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) tools to manage incidents, service requests, and problem resolution activities.
Support configuration management and enterprise change management processes.
Coordinate with network, cybersecurity, and systems administration teams to resolve enterprise technical issues.
Ensure compliance with government security requirements and organizational policies.
Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to end users in a mission-critical environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of enterprise endpoint management concepts and technologies.
Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and enterprise endpoint environments.
Experience with software deployment, patch management, endpoint monitoring, and device lifecycle management.
Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management solutions.
Understanding of configuration management principles and enterprise change control processes.
Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices and incident management procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience
4 to 7 years of relevant experience supporting desktop systems, endpoint infrastructure, network operations, or enterprise IT environments.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise user environments.
Experience diagnosing and resolving endpoint, application, and network connectivity issues.
Experience utilizing ticketing systems and IT service management tools.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Substitutions: Associate's Degree plus two (2) additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Government environments.
Experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Active Directory, and Office 365.
Knowledge of endpoint security technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience supporting classified environments.
Industry certifications such as:

Security Clearance Requirements
