Overview

We are seeking candidates with 1+ year of experience in desktop publishing and printing to join our team in NYC! Ideal candidates will be ready to grow their career in facilities and office services, and to take advantage of internal opportunities at IST Management for training and development toward advancement into management roles. This position will be responsible for fostering a professional and pleasant working environment by providing excellent customer service in the fields of general office services and facilities maintenance and coordination.

Hourly Compensation: $22.00/hr-$22.00/hr USD

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm but mandatory overtime may be needed until 7:00pm

ResponsibilitiesPrint Designing: 
  • Creating CMYK or RGB print ready files for printing on Large Format Printer
  • File converting to best format for printing on the Large Format Printers
  • Resizing and editing files to a specific size upon clients request using Adobe Photoshop CC and/or Adobe Illustrator CC
  • Designing and creating images regarding special announcements such as fire drills, construction, retirement banners, annual events, etc.
 Large Format printing: 
  • Daily use of Canon IPF8100 and HP DesignJet Z6600 Large Format Printers.
  • Consistently changing 36" and 42" rolls of Satin Photo Paper in and out of the large format machines when needed
  • Calibrating both machines weekly for best color matching results
  • Weekly installing new ink tanks, print heads, and cutter blades
  • Mounting prints to foamboard using the Smooth Mount Laminator PBLMIL- 4025
  • Trimming mounted foamboards using the wall cutter if needed

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Operating mailing, copy and fax equipment
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • Typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Shipping & Receiving; Ordering supplies; Updating employee lists
  • Pick-up and deliver mail, parcels, copy jobs and faxes to customers; Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper
  • Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
  • Maintain copier equipment
  • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
  • Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines; Take direction from supervisor or site manager
  • Participate in cross-training Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail
  • Adhere to all safety procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Document Design/Print Production experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - College Degree is a plus and allows a fast track plan to management
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
  • Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
  • A valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation to and from work
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds
