Position

We are seeking an Entry-Level Field Network Technician to join our service team in the Portland, OR area. This is a field position with a POSSIBLE TERRITORY NEAR YOU, as we service all of Portland and surrounding areas.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of network connectivity, network security and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Good understanding of Windows environment and common operating systems
  • Ability to work with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical some non-technical)
  • Ability to communicate with customers in order to gather more information
  • Aggressive problem solver
  • Ability to travel locally to different clients
  • Ability to communicate through phone / email / written documentation

Qualifications

  • Previous network field experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (SMTP, FTP, SMB, Ports, TCP/IP)
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience providing support to users using Windows Desktop Operating Systems and other mainstream Microsoft applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively with clients
  • Valid Drivers license and clean driving record. Must be 21 or older.

Bonus Skill Set

  • Good understanding of Mac OS environment
  • CompTIA Network+ certified
  • Previous experience working with IT professionals
