Job description

The Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide advanced infrastructure, cloud, and end-user support across multiple client environments. This client-facing role combines hands-on technical support with systems administration responsibilities, focusing on Microsoft technologies including Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Intune, Entra ID, and Windows Server.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting multiple environments within a managed services organization and enjoys solving complex technical challenges while delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Project Duration:6-12 Month Contract

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Tier 2/3 escalation point for infrastructure, cloud, and desktop support issues
  • Support and administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Manage Azure resources including virtual machines, networking, storage, and connectivity
  • Configure and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, host pools, images, and user sessions
  • Administer Microsoft Intune, including endpoint enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment, and device management
  • Support Entra ID identity management, conditional access, MFA, and hybrid identity solutions
  • Assist with Microsoft Sentinel monitoring, alert investigation, and remediation activities
  • Perform server and endpoint patching, maintenance, and system upgrades
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 technologies including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Document client environments, procedures, and operational standards
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement using PowerShell and related tools
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and service delivery

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience supporting Windows infrastructure and cloud environments
  • Strong experience with:
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • Group Policy
    • DNS and DHCP
    • Microsoft 365
  • Hands-on experience administering:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Experience working within ticketing systems and service management processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Defender
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
