Description

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to support a large-scale initiative converting Windows-based workstations to the IGEL thin-client platform. This role will work directly with clinical and operational teams to deploy devices, validate workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and document migration outcomes across multiple healthcare campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Windows-to-IGEL device conversions and deployments.

• Provide onsite desktop support and troubleshooting for end users.

• Validate application and peripheral functionality before and after migration.

• Troubleshoot issues related to scanners, cameras, signature pads, credit card readers, printers, and other peripherals.

• Document successful conversions, exceptions, blockers, and remediation steps.

• Support user data migration efforts involving OneDrive and SharePoint.

• Work closely with Endpoint Engineering, Service Operations, and clinical stakeholders to resolve migration challenges.

• Travel to various Houston facilities as required.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Desktop Support experience.

• Experience with Windows operating systems, endpoint deployment, and hardware troubleshooting.

• Understanding of VDI, virtualization, thin-client environments, or IGEL technology.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies, including OneDrive and SharePoint.

• Excellent written documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
