Atlantic Stoneworks has been providing "Jewelry for Your Home" across Eastern North Carolina for over 25 years. We specialize in premium countertops and cabinetry for homeowners, builders, contractors, and remodelers who expect exceptional craftsmanship, dependable service, and a professional customer experience.

We are seeking a motivated Cabinet Designer & Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This role works from our Kinston showroom and serves customers throughout Eastern North Carolina, including our Cedar Point market.

The Cabinet Designer & Sales Consultant helps customers design kitchens, bathrooms, offices, laundry rooms, and other cabinetry projects while guiding them through the sales process from concept to completion. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys design, customer service, relationship building, and helping customers make confident project decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners, builders, contractors, and remodelers to understand project goals and needs
  • Design kitchens, bathrooms, offices, laundry rooms, and other cabinetry projects
  • Assist customers with cabinet styles, finishes, hardware, layouts, and related design selections
  • Create estimates, proposals, and project documentation
  • Follow up with customers and prospects throughout the sales process
  • Gather project information, measurements, specifications, and other required details
  • Coordinate with project management, estimating, and operations teams
  • Review orders for accuracy and completeness before submission
  • Communicate with customers regarding project status, selections, timelines, and next steps
  • Build relationships with builders, contractors, remodelers, and repeat customers
  • Support referrals, repeat business, and company sales initiatives
  • Represent Atlantic Stoneworks professionally in the showroom, with customers, and in the community

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Cabinet design experience preferred
  • Kitchen and bath design experience preferred
  • Sales experience in cabinetry, countertops, flooring, remodeling, construction, or home improvement preferred
  • Experience reading residential construction plans is helpful
  • Ability to learn and use design software and internal systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally with homeowners, builders, contractors, remodelers, and internal team members

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: $17 to $24 per hour, based on experience
