Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Engineer at Epiroc!

You'll be part of our Engineering team working. This position is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role partners with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, support production, and lead initiatives that drive operational excellence.  

Work Type (Onsite): 
This position will be based onsite at our Delhi, Iowa, facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts.

  • Identify and implement improvements in productivity, quality, and safety.

  • Lead or support projects involving new equipment, tooling, and process changes.

  • Support production teams in troubleshooting process or equipment issues.

  • Develop standard work, work instructions, and process documentation.

  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams on cross-functional initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field. 

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in process or production engineering. 

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools. 

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. 

  • Proficient in CAD software and ERP systems. 

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills. 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented and data-driven, with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency. 

  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

  • Hands-on, solutions-focused engineer with a continuous improvement mindset. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous standing; repetitive motion of hand/wrist.
  • Ability to lift up to 33 pounds.  
  • Intermittent bending, crouching, repetitive motion of elbow/shoulder, and pushing/pulling. 

 

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to typical manufacturing areas and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, and in some areas hearing protection may be required
  • The work environment may include a workstation equipped with a computer as required for the job
  • Team member must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time
