Design Sales Consultant

About the Company

Open since 2012, we are the only home design provider in the Washington, D.C. metro area that focuses exclusively on window coverings. Our specialized focus allows us to deliver superior products and services at highly competitive prices, making us the clear choice for local homes and businesses.

Location:  Beltsville, MD 20705 | Full-Time 

About the Role

We are hiring a Design Sales Consultant who knows how to close. This is a fast-paced, in-home sales role for a competitive go-getter who thrives on building relationships and turning appointments into sales. 

What You Get:

  • Choice between compensation options: Base+Commission or Commission-only 
  • Base pay during training period for either option
  • Projected 1st year earnings: $85,000-$100,00
  • Extensive training and shadowing opportunities to get you set up in our niche and selling
  • Health insurance with 50 percent of the employee premium covered on select plans
  • Retirement IRA with a 3 percent company match (after 6 months, when you contribute 3 percent)
  • Company vehicle and gas card provided after the first 90 days 
    • Company car goes home with you
    • Personal vehicle used during the initial 90-day period
  • Schedule: Monday through Saturday + 1 weekday off + Sundays off

What You Will Do

  • Meet clients in their homes for confirmed sales appointments 
  • Sell interior and exterior window treatments, beginning with blinds and shades and advancing to shutters, draperies, and exterior products over time
  • Measure windows accurately and help clients choose the best window treatment option for their needs 
  • Hand off completed paperwork and photos to the admin team for ordering
  • Generate your own leads during downtime

Who You Are

  • A competitive go-getter with a proven ability to close deals
  • In-home sales experience, or transferable experience in a similarly fast-paced sales environment
  • Comfortable driving to multiple appointments daily 
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Basic tech savvy and comfort with everyday sales and quoting tools
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable driving, standing, or walking for long periods throughout the workday
  • Able to measure spaces and lift and carry sample books and materials up to 30-50lbs
