Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) - Day
Pay: Up to $29/Hour | Location: St Louis, MO | Schedule: PRN

Re-ignite motivation through purposeful activity. As a CTRS, you design therapeutic recreation that reduces anxiety, builds coping, and fosters connection -bringing steady energy and teamwork to our busiest hours.
How You Will Make a Difference
  • Assess leisure interests and functional skills; write goal-driven care plans.
  • Lead groups in mindfulness, art/music, movement, and community reintegration skills.
  • Track attendance and outcomes; collaborate with nursing and therapy to reinforce coping plans.
  • Maintain safe spaces and equipment; adapt activities to diverse abilities.
  • Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving.
  • Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's in Recreation Therapy or related field; NCTRC certification (CTRS).
  • Experience in inpatient psych or substance use treatment preferred.
  • Creative, energetic facilitator with patient-first mindset.
