The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and implement practical solutions before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions creating lasting impact.

Work You'll Do

As an M&A IT Manager you will help clients evaluate IT environments, define integration and separation strategies, and drive execution across transaction milestones. You will be responsible for:

Leading IT due diligence, integration, separation, and transformation workstreams across mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures

Assessing client technology environments, identifying risks and dependencies, and developing recommendations for Day 1, TSA, and long-term transition planning

Managing project plans, workstream deliverables, status reporting, and cross-functional coordination with business, finance, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application stakeholders

Developing client-ready materials, including assessments, operating models, roadmaps, and executive-level presentations

Coaching junior team members, managing workstream execution, and supporting business development, proposal development, and practice-building activities

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product

Ability to build and sustain professional relationships

The Team

M&A advises corporate and PE clients across inorganic growth/divestiture scenarios through M&A strategy, diligence, integration/separation planning and execution, financial and modeling services, and transaction financing.

Deloitte's M&A I&D team assists our clients with deal closing, integration and divestiture strategy and governance, integration and divestiture accounting and reporting services, developing and executing a Day 1 implementation plan, and addressing longer-term integration needs to create the future-state organization our clients envision. Within M&A I&D, our M&A IT team focuses on functional integration & separation activities particular to the IT component of a deal. The scope of their work may include end-state system architecture, application rationalization, and system or data migration. They provide subject matter knowledge across critical components of IT (e.g., infrastructure, applications, IT operations, IT finances and expenses, Active Directory, end-user computing, messaging, enterprise architecture, testing). This team helps clients refocus their IT capabilities and identify their optimal transaction and transformation strategies. As the Next-Gen provider of M&A services, M&A IT uses Delivery Innovation, Cloud and Flexible Compute Services to enhance every aspect of IT within the M&A landscape.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree

6+ years experience in M&A integration and/or divestiture service delivery within the information technology function

6+ years experience leading IT due diligence, IT integration, IT separation, or IT transformation workstreams

6+ years experience assessing enterprise applications, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, and IT operating model impacts in a transaction or transformation environment

6+ years experience developing integration plans, separation plans, TSA inputs, or Day 1 and Day 100 technology roadmaps

6+ years experience managing project plans, deliverables, stakeholder meetings, and executive status reporting

6+ years consulting or industry experience; alternatively, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and 4+ years of consulting or industry experience

Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

Experience supporting M&A transactions in a consulting environment

Experience with divestiture planning, TSA development, and carve-out execution

Experience working with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Microsoft technologies

Experience developing PowerPoint deliverables and Excel-based analyses for executive and steering committee audiences

Experience leading teams and managing multiple workstreams across complex client engagements

PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, cloud, or cybersecurity certification

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $155,600 to $306,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
