POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Technology Support Specialist to support our project teams across Stanley’s four Markets – Energy, Federal, Transportation, and Water.  You will provide day-to-day support for project teams with implementing and utilizing efficient and standardized engineering and design technology and workflows for engineering design and CAD/BIM applications, including Autodesk and Bentley platforms.
 
In this role, you will work closely with our Applied Technology Lead, technology innovators, and Information Technology group to understand our standard design technologies and workflows to assist our project teams to efficiently utilize those technologies to enhance project delivery and design quality via regular engagement, ongoing assistance, and support.  You will assist to resolve application issues, assisting with configurations, and ensuring stable operation of design tools in alignment with established standards.
 
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Work closely with Applied Technology Lead, technology SMEs, and IT to understand our standard design platforms, workflows, and IT platforms and how they are used across master planning, design engineering, and construction management jobs.
  • Meet with internal project teams during project initiation to identify and implement design technology, workflows, standards, and security needs at the project level to enable early and ongoing success for project teams.
  • Provide project teams with ongoing design technology troubleshooting and support ensuring that they have the necessary tools and knowledge to meet project goals efficiently.
  • Identify areas of improvement and guide project teams with development of scripts, data flows, and integrations to optimize and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design processes.
  • Coordinate with Applied Technology Lead IT, and other technology SMEs to solve technology challenges and performance issues affecting project teams.
  • Follow policies, practices, standards, and rules of the company and those regulations and procedures required by Stanley’s clients.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of relative experience supporting engineering or CAD/BIM software.
  • Experience working in a centralized, standards-based design center environment is a plus.
  • Experience with core Bentley and AutoDesk tools, parametric and generative design, BIM, system modeling, and business intelligence / reporting platforms.
  • Proficiency in BIM processes and design software, including Autodesk AEC Collection products, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bentley OpenPlant, OpenRoads, OpenBuildings.
  • Experience with editing and visualization software including Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python to automate data processing and platform integrations.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, drive consensus, and win the trust of teammates and project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an AEC or engineering consulting organization.
  • Exposure to ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
