About the Role:
A rapidly growing geotechnical construction and engineering organization is seeking a Design Team Lead to help drive technical excellence, mentor engineering talent, and lead delivery of complex geotechnical and geostructural projects across North America.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys balancing hands-on technical work with team development and cross-functional collaboration. The organization is in strong growth mode and offers clear long-term advancement potential into senior engineering leadership.
What Youโll Do
ยท Serve as a technical leader on complex geotechnical and geostructural projects
ยท Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) for select projects
ยท Review and approve engineering deliverables for quality, constructability, and risk management
ยท Mentor and develop engineers across the design team
ยท Help drive hiring, workload planning, and performance management initiatives
ยท Collaborate closely with estimating, operations, and sales teams to improve project execution
ยท Participate in process improvement and leadership initiatives across the engineering organization
ยท Support client-facing discussions, technical presentations, and project strategy
What Theyโre Looking For
ยท BS in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field
ยท Professional Engineer (PE) license required
ยท 10+ years of relevant geotechnical or geostructural engineering experience
ยท Prior leadership or team management experience
ยท Expertise in at least one of the following:
ยท Rockfall
ยท Landslide mitigation
ยท Micropiles
ยท Deep foundations
ยท Grouting
ยท Slope stabilization
ยท Strong communication and decision-making skills in fast-paced project environments
Preferred Qualifications
ยท MS in Civil or Geological Engineering
ยท GE and/or SE licensure
ยท Experience with complex geotechnical construction projects
ยท Background leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
ยท Numerical modeling experience

ยท Hybrid schedule: onsite TuesdayโThursday
ยท Location: Westminster, CO
ยท Potential flexibility for remote candidates on a case-by-case basis
ยท Up to 25% travel within North America
