Job description

ImagineX is a tech company that deploys AI-assisted teams to build and secure mission-critical enterprise solutions with our clients - spanning software, data, and AI. Structured like a software company, not a traditional consultancy, we blend deep technical expertise with authentic values, achieving world-class satisfaction (NPS 91). Our dedicated teams specialize in software, data, and AI across the U.S. and LATAM, bridging the gap between boutique agility and enterprise scale.
As a Senior Researcher, you will plan and run research studies end to end on client engagements, working as an embedded member of a multidisciplinary pod. You'll execute mixed-methods work spanning generative discovery, validation, secondary research, and market analysis, and help the team translate what you find into product decisions. This role is ideal for a researcher with strong craft who wants to deepen the client-facing and strategy side of their practice alongside experienced research and design leadership.Responsibilities
  • Plan and run research studies end to end within client engagements, from design of studies through readout
  • Execute across mixed methods including generative interviews, contextual inquiry, concept and usability validation, surveys, literature review, and competitive or market analysis
  • Recommend appropriate methods for the questions in front of the team, and raise it when a question calls for a different approach than the one requested
  • Handle research operations for your studies, including recruiting, screening, scheduling, incentives, consent, and repository hygiene
  • Synthesize findings into clear, well-evidenced recommendations that a product team can act on
  • Present readouts to client stakeholders and answer questions about method, limitations, and confidence
  • Contribute to service blueprints, journey maps, and other artifacts that connect research to product and service decisions
  • Participate in discovery workshops and working sessions, facilitating segments as you build toward leading them
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate desk research, synthesis, and reporting without compromising analytical rigor
  • Pair with designers and less experienced researchers on moderation, notetaking, and synthesis
  • Contribute to internal research practices and our shared methods library
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in user research, design research, or a closely related field
  • Hands-on depth in qualitative methods, with working knowledge of quantitative approaches such as survey design and analysis
  • A set of case examples showing how your research shaped design or product outcomes
  • Comfort presenting findings to client stakeholders and explaining the reasoning behind method choices
  • Experience working inside cross-functional product teams alongside designers, product owners, and engineers
  • Familiarity with service design artifacts such as journey maps and blueprints
  • Experience in consulting, agency, or multi-client environments (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with research and testing platforms, repositories, and participant privacy practices
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and adapt studies when timelines, access, or scope shift
  • Clear writing and presentation skills, with attention to how findings are framed for different audiences
This role is based in the US and only open to citizens and permanent residents of the US who do not require visa sponsorship.
