PROJECT MANAGER


Overview

Management lead for projects. Responsible for owning the management of assigned projects and associated teams as a core

member of the project leadership team. Advanced competency in Project Manager job category. Project Management from

conception of project proposal to owner occupancy, including construction documentation production and oversight,

construction administration, and fostering client relationships throughout the process.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and owning the management of small and medium sized projects of limited complexity.
  • Responsible for actively and regularly partnering with project design and technical leaders to execute the project, coordinate resources and integrate inputs from project inception to completion.
  • Participate as a leading member of the project team in all aspects of project scope - informing the workplan, supporting design, complying with jurisdictional requirements, leading and producing content for all phases of documentation, overseeing construction administration services and coordinating with outside consultants.
  • Assist in developing proposals and informing scope & fee as a key participant in project pursuits.
  • Creating the Work Plan (including appropriate staffing requirements).
  • Developing Project Schedule (aligned with work plan).
  • Identifying and contacting necessary Consultants.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative, design and technical, to ensure the most efficient and costeffective execution of assigned projects.
  • Actively monitor client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks and project team assignments.
  • Work with leadership regarding staffing and project planning. Serve as a primary client and consultant contact.
  • Manage client expectations and consultant coordination to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion with the clients’ satisfaction.
  • Actively manage project dynamics, manage risk and proactively maintain alignment with scope
  • Develop additional service requests when requested work exceeds contracted scope.
  • Monitor financial performance of project; proactive develop concrete plans to mitigate loss where applicable.
  • Work closely with Finance & Accounting to comply with Vocon project delivery standards and execute billing in a timely fashion.
  • Understands fundamental contract language & concepts.
  • Prepare strategic plans for project success.

  • Specialized strength in management execution, knowledge of the full design process, competent in all conventional aspects of interior design and/or architecture.

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program.
  • Fize plus years of commercial architecture/design experience and management experience.
