Your Impact
The School Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operational functions of the school. This position ensures that the school's non-instructional systems run efficiently, allowing educators to focus on teaching and learning.
Salary: $47,750 - $59,450
Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily school operations, transportation, food services, and classroom technology. 
  • Manage Excel Academy’s Nutrition Program
    • Complete annual trainings, including ServSafe, to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
    • Complete monthly claims paperwork for the school to be reimbursed for meals
    • Create compliance system for school staff related to meal distribution & meal compliance
    • Train Excel Academy staff on statewide meal compliance 
  • Manage Excel Academy’s Transportation Program
    • Create Excel Academy’s transportation tracking system 
    • Manage transportation change request system with parents and vendor 
    • Own arrival and dismissal plan for transportation
  • Manage the school’s Chromebook inventory
    • Support with troubleshooting Chromebooks
    • Design and monitor systems for Chromebooks to be managed in the classroom
    • Track damage and loss
    • Ensure the accuracy of annual inventory and setup processes
    • Contact the school’s Chromebook vendor for escalated issues and support
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the school runs smoothly through project management
    • Own school projects statewide testing, materials setup for school-wide testing
    • Manage the school’s printers, troubleshoot issues and call the vendor for support with escalated issues
    • Provide front office coverage 
  • Budget and Procurement: Manage procurement processes and oversee vendor relationships.
    • Serve as the primary procurement liaison, overseeing all purchasing to ensure it is in alignment with the school’s procurement policies. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in school operations or a related field.
  • Spanish & English fluency required
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data management and operational software systems.
