Operations Manager, Residential Design-Build

Location: Cape Cod, MA

Reports To: Director of Construction

Position Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading field execution across our client’s residential design-build division. This role ensures projects are built correctly, crews are trained and supported, and execution aligns with budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field operations across multiple crews
  • Provide technical guidance on layout, grading, elevations, and sequencing
  • Train and develop field staff in best-in-class installation practices
  • Monitor labor hours, productivity, and job pacing
  • Partner with the Project Manager on job performance feedback
  • Manage crew scheduling and coordination in Aspire
  • Address people management needs (performance, coaching, HR issues)
  • Maintain equipment standards and jobsite professionalism

Required Qualifications

  • Strong residential landscape & hardscape installation experience
  • Proven ability to read plans and lay out projects independently
  • Experience managing or leading crews in the field
  • Comfortable with technology (Aspire or similar)
  • Strong communicator and team leader

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Portuguese or Spanish)
  • Experience in elite residential markets
  • Prior superintendent, senior foreman, or PM experience

Compensation & Benefits
