About the Role

BAGGU is looking for a Full-Time Assistant Product Designer to join our Product Design Team in San Francisco. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in growing their product design experience as part of a team focused on bringing to life products that balance value, longevity, function and delight.


As our Assistant Product Designer, your primary role will involve developing meticulous tech packs to clearly articulate the construction requirements for our products to our manufacturing partners. Along with helping our team with requesting design samples from our factory, tracking samples, organizing, spec’ing and documenting samples throughout the design process.


Studio management


To be successful in this role you will need to possess an advanced knowledge of garment or accessories construction, pattern making and sewing. You’ll also need to be highly organized and comfortable working in a collaborative environment where you will receive and give constructive feedback.


This role will work primarily from our San Francisco Design Studio. We are not considering remote work for this position, but there may be some opportunity for WFH depending on the task at hand, and we're supportive of flexible scheduling.


Location and Working Hours

  • This position works onsite at our Design Studio in San Francisco
  • Our hours are M-F 10-6

Requirements

  • 1+ years design experience ideally with soft goods, accessories, apparel or fashion
  • Experience sewing development samples or equivalent professional sewing experience
  • Must be able to create a sample from a simple design sketch
  • Strong pattern making and construction knowledge
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to identify design challenges and develop creative solutions to address them
