Job description

Experience / Education:
Technical College degree, Associates degree or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience.
Software Skill Set:
Candidate will show the following:
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D commands and workflows.
  • Familiar with working in multi-tab drawings, managing layer display attributes and visibility within multiple viewports.
  • Familiar with the Civil3D environment and basic functionality, including:
    • Familiar with concept of coordinate systems, identifying them and working within them.
    • Import and display of point data.
  • Ability to modify Civil3D styles to control the appearance and display of civil objects including points, surfaces, corridors, alignments, etc.
  • Ability to use point data to create simple surfaces for the generation and display of contours
  • Ability to assemble multiple drawing files supplied to Braun Intertec and organize them in a way that allows for efficient drawing updates in the event of future changes to the drawing data
  • General knowledge of ArcGIS, Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat is helpful.

Common Deliverables:
Routinely prepares figures for drafting requests including the following:
  • General site sketches
  • Soil boring and sample location maps
  • Basic geologic cross section diagrams
  • Assorted construction diagrams, well diagrams and other graphics as required
  • Surface and / or groundwater contour maps
  • Residential layouts / excavation bottoms and oversizing

Workflow:
Works independently on tasks assigned by the Cad Manager.
Ability to apply Braun Intertec standards and practices.
Ability to effectively communicate with Cad Manager, Project Manager or field technician when necessary to clarify drawing requests to ensure accuracy of deliverables or to request additional materials required for drawing completion.
