Job description

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for our Bridgeville, PA office.
Candidates should have a degree in Geology or Civil Engineering and 5+ years of experience with geotechnical explorations and construction observation and testing related to the following areas:
  • Assist in managing projects involving earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing
  • Assist in managing subsurface investigations including borings and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, preparation of lab testing programs, and development of Geotechnical plans
  • Calculations of bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability analysis
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports

Candidates should have or be prepared for professional growth into such areas as retaining wall design, slope stability analysis, pavement design, review of subsurface conditions and foundation design, and project management.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in civil engineering, with geotechnical concentration
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license required
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Geotechnical analysis software such as Slide2, Settle3, RSPile, and BoreDM
  • CADD experience preferred
