Job description

Job Requisition ID #
25WD94246
Position Overview
We are building a first-class internal Developer Productivity capability within the COO GET Engineering organization to reduce cognitive, operational, and repetitive burden on engineers so they can focus on solving customer problems and building differentiated capabilities, not boilerplate or process overhead.
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead this effort by building scalable, intelligent, AI-powered systems that simplify the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from idea and requirements through production operations.
This role is not about accelerating a single phase of development. It is about systemically simplifying how Autodesk builds, tests, deploys, and operates software, using internal context, standards, and AI-driven intelligence.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set technical direction, review designs and PRs, remove blockers, and own outcomes end-to-end. Hybrid work in Squad Model across all GEO Centers.
What You'll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Developer Productivity engineering team
  • Hiring, coaching, career development, and feedback
  • Own delivery of developer productivity platforms:
  • Define and execute roadmaps
  • Manage dependencies and risk across teams
  • Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery and adoption
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform, and Application teams
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders on progress, tradeoffs, and outcomes

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience managing software engineers; ability to set strategy, delegate effectively, and develop talent.
  • 8+ years total experience in software engineering
  • Strong hands-on background in backend, platform, or systems engineering
  • Experience building internal developer tools or productivity platforms
  • Practical experience applying AI/ML or LLM-based systems to engineering workflows
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to work across ambiguous problem spaces
  • Strong written/spoken communication; stakeholder management; ability to translate business goals into engineering outcomes

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building AI-assisted developer tooling at scale
  • Selective test execution and test intelligence
  • Release risk analysis and deployment safety
  • Incident analysis and reliability engineering
  • Experience operating at org scale across multiple domains
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
