The Rejuvenationย Design team consists of highly creative,ย collaborativeย and technical thinkers. As part of theย teamย you'llย bring your ideas to the discussion. Our role is to create both practical andย innovationย products with a story to tell.ย 

Overview of theย VP, Product Developmentย roleย ย 

Asย the Vice President, Product Developmentyouย willย set the visual and creative direction for the Rejuvenation brand.ย ย You willย lead theย Productย Developmentย team acrossย allย product categories.ย You will oversee the Design team, each season translatingย concepts into cohesive product design, developingย designsย that reflectย theย market and customer/business trends.ย ย 

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Gather market data on key fashion trends considering such elements as fabrication, materials, colorย schemesย and designs looking forward to next season.ย ย 
  • Regularly shop competitors to keep abreast of trends.ย ย 
  • Drive global conceptualย vision and creative direction for the Rejuvenation brandย 
  • Present and sell seasonal conceptsย to merchandising team andย Senior Leadersย ย 
  • Identify big business ideas to be developed and ensure Headย Designย Managerย hasย clearย understanding of product line.ย ย 
  • Ensure that all final design details and pre-production samples are approved by Head Designย Managerย (with Sourcing and Production Management). Resolve escalated issues.ย ย 
  • Provide input to seasonal concepts for floor plan development and catalog design/pagination.ย ย 
  • Develop staffing and succession plans. Interview candidates and approve division s final candidates.ย ย 
  • Determineย workload for staff; recommend effective processes and procedures to improve workflow and results.ย ย 
  • Provide direction and clarifyย objectives. Evaluate and appraise performance.ย ย 
  • Mentor, educate and develop creative staff.ย ย 
  • Participate in key company strategic initiatives and steering committees.ย ย 
  • Present seasonal product information (inspirations and facts) toย field.ย ย 
  • Present boards to merchants.ย 
  • Operate a computer and communicate via telephoneย 
  • Transportย materials and equipmentย and lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basisย 

Criteriaย 

  • Minimumย ofย 8 years home furnishings product design experience across multiple categories

  • Minimum ofย 5 yearsย prior experience in people development and leadershipย ย ย 
  • Minimumย 4-yearย college degree or equivalent experience.ย  ย 
  • Experience with 2D/3D software and AI
  • Is anย Aesthetic Visionaryย with strong business acumen and the ability to translate vision into business results.ย ย ย 
  • Outstandingย interpersonal,ย and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of peopleย acrossย different rolesย within the organization.ย ย Mustย possessย strong presentation skills.ย 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.ย ย 
  • Thrive in a high energy and fast paced environment, with the ability to be flexible and react to rapidly changing business needs and priorities.ย 
  • Must be adept at project management,ย anticipatingย periods of high volume and working with your team to plan for intense workload.ย ย 
  • Highly collaborativeย with the ability to build strong cross functional partnershipsย 
  • Ability and willingness to execute tactical work as well asย demonstrateย the ability to think strategically.ย 
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the Portlandย office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.ย
