The Design Center Sales Consultantย is the face of the companyโ€™s kitchen and bath fixtures showroom. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, guiding customersโ€”homeowners, designers, contractors, and buildersโ€”through decorative plumbing product selections, and supporting the sales process from consultation to order completion. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with high-end products, building relationships, and helping customers bring their kitchen and bath projects to life.

Customer Experience

  • Welcome and assist walk-in customers, designers, contractors, and trade professionals.
  • Provide expert guidance on premium kitchen and bath products such as faucets, sinks, tubs, vanities, and accessories.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend products that match their style, function, and budget.

Sales & Relationship Management

  • Manage the full sales cycle โ€” from consultations and quoting to order placement and follow-up.
  • Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and follow up on open opportunities.
  • Build long-term relationships with homeowners, designers, builders, and contractors.
  • Identify and develop new business through referrals, networking, and relationship building.
  • Work toward achieving assigned sales goals.

Product Knowledge & Showroom Presentation

  • Stay current on product lines, trends, and industry developments.
  • Participate in product training and vendor presentations.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom.

Order Support & Problem Resolution

  • Track orders from placement through delivery.
  • Resolve issues related to shipping, returns, or defective products in a professional manner.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the buying process and after the sale.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with warehouse, delivery and purchasingย teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Coordinate with vendors on pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and service.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • A passion for sales, design, and high-end products.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through, able to meet deadlines and stay organized.
  • Comfortable working in a consultative, relationship-driven sales environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and POS and/or data management systemsย  (Microsoft Office, CRM tools).
  • Familiarity with Building, Design, Home Improvement Industry a plus.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in retail or showroom sales, ideally in kitchen and bath, plumbing fixtures, or home improvement.
  • Experience working with interior designers, contractors, or in B2B sales is a plus.

Work Schedule:

  • Showroom Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. You will have a 5-day weekly schedule within the showroom hours of operation.ย 

Compensation: Hourly wage paid weekly + monthly commissions based on sales.ย
