Their work is essential for the smooth functioning of derivatives markets and helps mitigate operational and financial risk for their organization.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commodity Derivatives Operations Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise supporting the full trade lifecycle for commodities and related derivatives, strong product knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with front office, technology, risk, and external counterparties. • Perform daily operational processes for financial commodities (e.g., oil, gas, power, metals, agriculture)

  • Reconcile positions, exposures, and cash flows across internal systems and external counterparties

  • Investigate and resolve breaks related to trade data, collateral, pricing, and settlements

  • Work closely with the front office, risk, finance, and technology on trade issues, product launches, and system enhancements

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with internal controls, regulatory reporting requirements (OCC, FINRA, MSRB, CFTC, SEC, BASEL, etc.), and industry standards

  • Drive process efficiency by identifying control gaps, proposing improvements, and supporting automation initiatives

  • Support onboarding of new products, markets, clearing brokers, or trading workflows

  • Occasional travel to office locations with Capital Markets team members and/or business constituents/strategic enablers

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field and 5+ years of Business Management, Management Consulting, Business Operations and/or Project Management experience in Financial Services. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.

  • 5+ years of experience in a commodity trading or derivatives operations environment

  • Strong understanding of commodity markets (physical and/or financial) and associated derivative products (swaps, futures, options)

  • Solid knowledge of trade lifecycle processes, confirmations, clearing, settlements, and reconciliations

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to investigate complex issues

  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently without direct supervision

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to prioritize across multiple deadlines in a fast-moving trading environment

  • Familiarity with collateral management and margin processes

  • Background supporting energy, commodities, or metals trading desks

  • Experience with ETRM/CTRM systems (e.g., Calypso, Endur, Spectrum, Bloomberg, Etc.)

Benefits:
