Job description

Psychiatrist Relocation Assistance Provided

Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Four 10-Hour Days | Day Shift

Location: La Grande, OR (Rural Eastern Oregon)

Compensation: $350K - $385K+ per year

We are seeking an innovative and energetic Physician who enjoys professional autonomy and working with a supportive, caring group of healthcare professionals! You'll join a growing Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center in beautiful rural Eastern Oregon. You will play a key role in growing our behavioral health and primary care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population
  • Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress to ensure therapeutic efficacy and safety
  • Partner with Primary Care providers and Behavioral Health specialists to provide a "whole-patient" approach to health
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team, contributing to workforce training and the development of clinical protocols
  • Utilize Epic EMR for timely and accurate clinical charting
  • Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center environment when psychiatric expertise is required for acute patient stabilization
  • Participate in community-based initiatives to reduce the stigma of mental health and improve access to care in the region
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry
  • Active, unrestricted State Medical License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry
  • Strong skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a community-oriented environment
