Tag Agency Manager-MVD Express
Location: 900 S 24th St W #4, Billings, MT 59102
Type: Full-Time/Hourly
Rate: $24 an hour
Hours: Availability to work between the hours of 7:45 AM-5:30 PM
Availability to work Monday through Saturday based on business needs

Position Overview

MVD Express is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead daily operations at one of our Montana branch locations. This position is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The Tag Agency Manager sets the tone for professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence within the branch. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and strong team management skills are essential.


What You Will DoLead the Branch

• Supervise and direct retail employees
• Coach, train, and develop team members
• Conduct employee evaluations and provide performance feedback
• Address employee relations matters and approve leave requests
• Hold regular staff meetings
• Maintain employee schedules based on business needs

Manage Daily Operations

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of retail transactions
• Oversee compliance with MVD policies and Montana state regulations
• Communicate regulatory updates and procedural changes to staff
• Maintain a structured and efficient workflow

Financial Oversight

• Balance daily transactions and reconcile funds
• Prepare and verify state deposits
• Monitor petty cash, change funds, and receipts
• Ensure accuracy in reporting and documentation

Maintain Branch Standards

• Maintain office and state inventory supplies
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive customer and employee information
• Communicate with other locations and leadership regarding operational issues
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity


Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of progressive management experience in a retail setting
• Strong knowledge of motor vehicle transactions including titles and registration processes
• Valid Montana Driver’s License required
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
• Ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle record review
• Strong financial reconciliation and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead in a structured, high accountability environment
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday based on business needs


Physical Requirements / Essential Functions

• Must possess the necessary dexterity and fine motor skills to operate standard office equipment including telephone, computer, keyboard, printer, fax machine, and copier
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods during the workday
• Ability to review detailed documents and computer screens for accuracy
